TOP 20 IN INDUSTRY DAY 2012

Assalamualaikum , Alhamdullilah, yesterday we have done greatly of our industrial day.Even we tired,but the result had paid all of our tiredness .Alhamdullilah,with unexpected feeling , I and my partner received message from committee of final year project that tell us that we are one of  top 20 for fyp presentation in industry day for 2012.We are speechless.For sure, we didn't target or expected anything for our result in Industry Day, what we know,we have done our best to make sure our assessor satisfied with us even our project not function very well. Alhamdulliah , this is our provision, we are very grateful of this achievement even top 20..Alhamdullilah :). 

Thank You to Allah, our parents and our supervisor Sir Suhaimi Bahisham for helping and guide us throughout in our final semester for final year project.Thank You so much once again  for everything :).Not to forget to our assessor thank you so much  for given some idea and advise to us.Praise to Allah, the presentation is done and run smoothly.

INDUSTRY DAY :)

Today is the Day :)..

Early in the morning at 8.00 am,we already go to BMI to check our placed.booth number for presentation at level 1.

Our booth/placed at level 5 which are table number 51 and 52.We start to set up everything and decorate our booth.We cant provide picture of our booth because the image have broken and problem.Only some of picture can be upload. Before that ,while we waiting for our assessor,we make sure everything is done.

Unfortunately,Mdm Tengku Azita is absent so Dr Khairil Rahmat have to replace her,so Dr Khairil Rahmat our second assesor for today.


Alhamdullilah,everything run smoothly and very well.All comment that we have given are positive feedback and  some advise that give to us more confident to us to live and know what and how life of engineering is to be.

Final Touch Up and Preparation For Industrial Day

At day before Industrial day,we have do last touch up and prepared everything to present and meet our assessor. Insya Allah, we try our best to make our assessor and supervisor satisfied what have we done along this year.Confident and the way you present with understand of your project will make the result become flying with a colourful.

 We always believe  "The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand. "

Making Slide Presentation And Brochure

Today ,after class session , we have decided to do a slide and brochure.For slide presentation we have put some point that doesn't have at poster which are :

• problem statement
• Scope and limitation
• Circuit of our project that we create
• Image of our project
• Reference

Poster Makeover

By this week, our progression is more towards making poster which is one of requirement for Industrial Day Presentation.According to standard format, each poster must contain description such as :

• Description
• Objective
• Methodology
• Result
• Circuit diagram
• Result

We started design our poster at library and continue at home.We discuss about each point of view or idea to create a professional look poster which contain all of the above points.Therefore we manage to finish up all the poster in one day although it took few hours for completion.

Actually we have  2 poster that we have complete it.First poster ,we already sent to our supervisor by email ,for him to make some correction that we have to change.They have some point that we have to do correction and add up more important point at our poster.

We need to some correction regarding what supervisor ask we to do and depend to standard format that we have miss .Then we upgrade our poster and add up all the miss point.

Next day,we go to UIA to print our poster.The  price for our poster is RM 35.

In Making Casing

The second last process for making our project,this week we make a casing for brailled pill reminder.


Material and tools that we use to make our casing are:

First measure the length and width of the circuit.Then sketch on cardboard and cut according to size, measured before.Below show the step in making our casing.

Final Testing In Lab

Today,after a class, we have go to lab for testing our project. We need to use multimeter, trainer kid and oscilloscope to see the timing diagram either the ic produce 2Hz or not.

Firstly, we calibrate the oscilloscope and trainer kid.Then we connect our project to the oscilloscope and trainer kid.  

Below show the picture while we do some calibration,connection,equipment that we use and testing :

For the final result that we get ,which come from the IC 4060 produce 2hz its not show clearly sometime the wave change and not constant. The signal is very small make the wave cannot  be seen clearly.Below show the result that we get :

The first result we get,it produce 2 Hz correctly

Conclusion,from the result we get, the circuit produce 2Hz but not constant,in the second and third testing, the result is not same like the first result we get.The result is not constant.Actually for the first try or demo ,the result is occur ,the LED flashing after 4 hours but for the second try the circuit cant be produce the output very well.,the circuit have some problem when we change output as buzzer. The circuit cant produce any output. The circuit have a little problem for the first try, the circuit cant produce the output as well as what we want.We already try our best to troubleshoot the circuit.We have discuss with our supervisor and the result is still the same. Our project is not function very well but we learn many things about what engineering to be :).This is our starting for our industrial next year.
